The mission of Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS) is to provide access to programs and resources that help older adults live independently and remain active. Both Encore Experiences and The PEAK Center offer a place of comfort, fellowship and care to Seniors in our community.
Incorporated in 1975, the Center first operated in Alumni Hall, a building belonging to Lower Salford Township. In 1981, the Township purchased and remodeled a former factory, which has been the Center’s home ever since.
Encore Experiences is accredited by the National Association of Senior Centers.
Among the programs regularly offered are:
Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation as determined by the IRS. GHNPSS operates two senior center facilities: Encore Experiences at Harleysville and The PEAK Center in Lansdale.
Encore Experiences in Harleysville and The PEAK Center in Lansdale are supported in part by funding received from the Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services. Other sources of support include grants, wills and bequests, corporate donations, foundations, special events, and individual contributions.
